Jaap Mulder
 Jaap is one of the founders of Di Gojim. After a few years at the conservatory, he teaches himself his specific way of playing the clarinet. Since 1980 he has been occupying himself with Yiddish culture and music from the Balkan area. Through this combination, he soon managed to touch the right chord for klezmer. He sings, and apart from the clarinet also plays the saxophone, cornet, mandolin and valve-trombone.
As a clarinettist he belongs to Europe’s top, and he regularly conducts lectures and workshops.
During the development of Di Gojim’s Dutch programs, he revealed himself to be a lyrics writer and composer.
Jaap played with a.o. Frank London, Jan Rokita and Shura Lipovsky, was a guest at the International Dance Theatre and played the title song of the film “Yiddish Soul”.
