Di Gojim’s performance in 1995 and 1996 at the International Klezmer Festival of Sefad, Israel, has brought critical acclaim. The city was besieged by the most outstanding klezmer musicians. Among them Di Gojim was rated as the best klezmer orchestra of the entire festival thanks to their innovative and astonishing theatrical performanc

The six musicians of Di Gojim play over more than 35 instruments in a show that gives an overview of Yiddish music and songs. The music ranges from the Bucaresti theatre to the Amsterdam cabaret. From cartoon soundtracks  and nickelodeon music to the Comedian Harmonists. One moment you hear a gypsy brass band and the following a Transylvanian string quartet. A streetcar race in Amsterdam, an ostrich rodeo in Spain and the Frisian Youth Symphony Orchestra feature the show. The scores take you from tradition to composition. Slapstick, humor and emotion are at stake. Breathtaking virtuosity competes with passionate tearjerkers.

Di Gojim played successfully in New York, Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, Budapest, Mexico City, Berlin, Wroclaw, Istanbul eg.
